Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actress. She's appeared in many films and TV shows like "Christy", a drama about a young woman known as Christy Huddleston. In addition, she is well-known as the lead in"The Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin, the daughter of a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her career as an actress at age seven, when her aunt, who was an nanny for actor Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin get a part in the 1983's show "Father Murphy". Her professional career began after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of parts in both the television and film industries. Martin, in addition to being an excellent dancer and actress, is also a successful ballet photographer. Being a mom to two children, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has actively promoted the disease since her sister's death in the age of 19.
